Ether

Ether is the currency used by itself within an Ethereum network. Ether is used as a fee for network resources and serves as a medium for efficiently exchanging various virtual assets. In addition, providing Ether as rewards to the miners enhance data security and activate the network. Real world currencies also have various units. As US dollars have smaller units than dollars, such as cent, penny, nickel, and quarter, there is also a unit of currency that is smaller than Ether. Ether can be divided into 18 decimal places. The smallest unit is wei, and 10 ^ 18 wei becomes 1 Ether.
